Miss Black USA has launched its Princess Program for girls ages 5-10, and Texas has added the "Tiny Tot" Princess Program for little girls ages 3-4.
This club of "Who's Who" amongst young girls is a Miss Black Texas USA Talented –Teen mentoring program. It exposes girls to art and culture while developing strong friendships, good manners and exemplary character.
Becoming a princess is a process. She must not only expect to receive a crown, she must be willing to give her very best to receive it.
The overall winner of the Texas Head Princess Award will receive a National Princess Program Sponsorship from the Miss Black Texas USA Organization to participate with queens from across the country in the National Miss Black USA Pageant August 7-9, 2010. There are several areas where princesses can win individual awards, but the overall Texas Head Princess will have a strong showing in each area. The winner of the Texas Head Princess Award will participate in all of the following award opportunities:

The Princess Program will expose girls to various elements of art and culture. They will enjoy events where they will see movies, theater productions, ballets, musicals, concerts, art exhibits or anything else based in art and culture.
Here are some of the major appearances for the Houston/Galveston Princess Club.
Our second major appearance is an inspiring tale of a family’s journey to freedom along the Underground Railroad through Texas into Mexico. This story of bravery and determination tells a bit of little known Texas history. It is a celebration of freedom set to rhythmic music. Princesses will wear their Miss Black Texas USA t-shirts and sashes to this event.

All Texas Princesses will appear on stage, and the Texas Head Princess will be announced. She receives her award and an opportunity to attend the National Miss Black USA Pageant in Washington D.C!

Featuring glorious scenery and costumes by Tony Award-winning designer Desmond Heeley, Ben Stevenson's breathtaking production of The Nutcracker is, in the words of The Houston Chronicle, "the crown jewel of holiday entertainment." Set in 19th century Germany, the ballet opens at a charming Christmas party at which the mysterious Dr. Drosselmeyer gives his little niece Clara a magical toy that takes her on an unforgettable journey. Princesses will wear a princess pretty dress, their crown and sashes to this event.
Once Miss Black Texas USA Recruitment Team receives your application, photograph and registration fee, you will receive a confirmation email and another email from our recruitment team that will contain your Miss Black Texas USA Princess Program information.
It will give you more information about the program in your area and the Miss Black USA Organization. It will contain time sensitive material that will need to be returned to our Houston based office via standard mail along with your $150 membership fee if you choose not to pay your membership fee online.
If you reside in the area of a local pageant, then your application will be forwarded to the local director for your area, and they will send you more information about their area's Princess Program.
